Let’s start first with the meaning behind efficient productivity:
First, the word efficiency means producing the results we want in the least amount of time possible, and second, productivity refers to one’s engagement towards results.
Our business culture is based on competitiveness by establishing superiority over others through the amount of effort we put in, to reach the best quality within a limited period of time, in exchange for a reward.
Efficient productivity is an interesting strategy to build success: combining Productivity with Efficiency is extremely effective. Being solely productive without efficiency produces the results we were looking for, but we would’ve wasted a lot of resources. Therefore, implementing efficiency in our strategy means utilizing proficiently the time and resources we have in hand.
In this article, you’ll find extremely helpful tips to guide you along the way on your journey towards success.
Success means many things, financial success, social success, etc. it all depends on what your goal is. If you want to be successful at being a parent, for instance, you need to set an accurate strategy that works, either through books, or through experience, even better combining both, because nothing can beat knowledge and experience coming together to create great results.
You can track efficiency and productivity with formulas such as dividing the total output by total input for labor productivity and labor hours over the actual amount of time worked x 100 to get efficiency, but this is not the point here. Efficient productivity used here is a concept once applied can help you get closer to your goals.
One needs to have a strong set of rules to keep on going on with an efficient routine. For those who never tried having a strong and healthy routine, they need to start experiencing what best works for them. Routine is a set of training to endure the pressure one will feel when climbing towards success, in order to tolerate more challenges that will come along the way.
One needs to understand their own challenges in order to overcome them. Therefore, an introspection phase is a necessary tool to pave the way towards positivity: understanding our gaps and weaknesses will most probably prevent us from falling. Accepting ourselves as imperfect beings and knowing what we want to achieve is primordial to our success.

For example, ask yourself why is it important to achieve your goal? What do you have to do to get there? When is the best time to do it? Where is the best place to put your project in place? How do you make my dream come true?
All these essential questions are the basis on which you build your success. By knowing and implementing the right strategy, through experiences, you’ll get a clearer vision of yourself in the future.

1. Set your Objectives / Craft a Vision and stick to it:
The first thing you need to have in mind is the long-term objective(s) you want to achieve. By setting a goal, you will have a clearer vision of yourself in the future.
For example, my long-term plan is to become a university teacher and an international artist. These are beautiful and ambitious goals that I’ve decided to have, and I will do all the necessary things to get there. I had an extremely tough past, but with years of introspection and efficient strategies, I’ve decided that I am designed to what I am passionate about, and that my role in society is to share my work with the rest of the world.
Therefore, in order to have a productive day, you need to know your future goal. Deciding to adopt a healthy routine and to have a productive day is one of the most effective strategies that will bring you closer to your objectives. So first ask yourself what do you want to achieve, why is it important to concretize your goal (what is your added-value), and how to do it by adopting a personal plan you configure and that you need to follow.

2. From Objectives that you’re passionate about towards setting a Positive Routine:
By setting a daily plan and working daily on it, this plan will become your routine. To do that you need to transform bad habits into positive ones.
For example: if you hate to wake up early, know that each and every successful person wakes up extremely early. So, waking up early is a good habit.
Another example: Eating healthy food, or going on a 3K morning run on an empty stomach, is a harsh but great routine.
Nevertheless, you need to know yourself and how your body and mind function: you won’t be able to do that in a day because implementing good habits, takes time. Hence, start with little changes, and sooner or later you’ll fall in love with beautiful habits you’ve set for yourself. Just because you love yourself and you want to succeed, you will make the necessary changes.
As I’ve said earlier, in planning your day, you need to pay great attention to bad habits. You need to have control. Hence, break slowly a habit that is sabotaging your productivity by implementing the right routine and finding the right time to increase efficiency and to become closer to your goals. Create habits that are successful and suits you. And remember that each one of us is different which means you must find your own way that works best for you through trials and errors.
Transform your objectives into a routine which means set your objective and plan daily to achieve your goal by creating a beneficial routine.
To feel more productive, one essential rule is to manage better your time.
3. One of the major key elements for success and productivity is Time Management.
Break your day into several parts and find the time where you are energetic: utilize this period to make things happen. You need to allocate a specific time when setting up your daily schedule for your main responsibility.
For example: When I wake up at 5 am in the morning I have the energy to go on for a 3K run. And after lunch, I usually have a power nap to boost up my body for the rest of the day to come. I know when I have energy and when I am tired, and I plan the things I want to work on the most accordingly.
Plan your day know when you have most energy utilize it to achieve one of the biggest projects you are working on.
Know when to take breaks and to stay focus. Each one of us is different. Find what suits you the best. Taking a break is crucial for your well-being and for the proper management of your time. Do not hesitate to take as much break as you want to rest, sleep or do something else if you feel like you’re stuck on a project, or you’re having a blank page syndrome (if you’re an artist or an author).

Taking a break is part of your time management, but remember that in your daily plan there are daily tasks, which means you need to get things done before the day ends. Therefore, you’re the only one to know how to manage your break and your daily task, by grouping tasks together in order to stay focus and to make the most of each minute.
4. Eisenhower Matrix Management to Prioritize.
Prioritize your tasks by taking into consideration your top priority responsibility. This will help you visualize your goals in a matter of importance and urgency.
Implementing the Eisenhower matrix will help you to manage the most important tasks and the ones that take a lot of work and effort. After identifying your priorities, eliminate the time-wasting project to focus on more important matters.
The main important thing is not to Procrastinate: If you are overwhelmed by Responsibility, you need to know which to prioritize depending on your current situation and on the goals you want to achieve. Tips to stop procrastinate: identify your fear or your incapacities, shift to positive implementation, set a daily schedule and daily task to achieve etc.
For example, if the task you want to do is too big, just break it into several easy pieces and start by the most important ones.
Prioritize to help you overcome procrastination: Determine what to work on and what to eliminate
When you are in much more control of your productivity, you start cutting and putting more pressure on bigger and more important task until you arrive at a point where you always start with the biggest task to finish the earliest.
5. Create an Environment of safety and surround yourself with the proper knowledge (Maslow pyramid of needs):
When working to produce daily efficient results, you need to have a very strong basis to keep you going on. Implement Maslow’s pyramid hierarchy of needs.
When the base is strong enough it can hold enough pressure to help you keep going on.
For example, if you want to succeed as an artist, you have to set out the proper environment and culture to help you create, and later on sell your work.
Once you secure your basic needs (physiological and safety needs, such as security, safety, food, rest, etc.), you start to go up the pyramid and set your psychological needs (esteem and love needs such as the feeling of accomplishment, intimate relationship, etc.) until you reach the top which is Self-fulfillment thus achieving your full potential. This means that motivation increases as needs are met
At the top of the Maslow’s pyramid is the definition of your fulfillment which means you know how much you’re worth
6. Wake up before the sun rises:
Start your day with a very vivid visualization of your goals through meditation and gratitude. Morning Routine (Personally, in order to wake up at 5 in the morning, I remove 1 minute per day from my morning alarm): meditation, stretching, having a healthy breakfast, set-up your daily objectives according to your long-term plans.
A morning routine is crucial to have a productive day.
For example, when I wake up at 5 am, I go for a run, and when I come back, I make sure to have a king-size healthy breakfast to keep my energy level at a high peak, because I will be needing that since I sleep at 11 pm. At 8 am I am ready to start my workday.
7. Surround yourself with Qualified people that bring you higher:
From motivational speakers, to reading books and accepting constructive criticism, we never stop learning.
Be severe and shut off the negative people who have a bad influence on you. It may be your family or a childhood friend. You cannot afford to waste your time because your time is valuable.
You need to identify all the people who are a bad influence on you because these kinds of individuals see greatness in you, a potential they do not have, so they become jealous and they will do everything in their power to bring you down to their level. Do not accept that because you know you are better than that. Think with your mind: you have been given a gift, do not waste it on people who do not deserve it. Stop compromising yourself for anyone that will use you and abuse you. Search for the people that will bring you higher, you will become more confident about yourself and you will start accepting that you are designed for great things.
Surround yourself with positive people to help you keep going on throughout the day: set your mind to attract solely positive and motivational beings. During your day, there will be times where you will feel exhaustion, therefore having a good talk with someone you trust is always a feel-good vibe.
8. Adopt a healthy lifestyle
Adopting a healthy lifestyle is one of the key elements for a long-term happy relationship with oneself.
Control yourself by loving yourself more, giving gratitude, and transform negative stress to motivation to boost productivity.
You can be part of a personal or group fitness program because sport liberates toxins and decompress you.
When you sleep at night, you need to be ready and excited for the coming day, that is when you know that you are on the right track.
Eat right, go out for a walk, control yourself, discipline yourself, self-discipline is the meaning of respecting oneself by creating a healthy long-term relationship with self-respect: it is the key to happiness. Hence, take responsibility for your own happiness by building a healthy lifestyle.
For example, I love chocolate, but I decided to start eating dark chocolate, and today I love dark chocolate simply because I made a habit out of it.
You are able to turn anything into a positive habit: train your mind to adopt a healthy routine and control yourself when the urge comes. This is a contract between you and yourself, a long-term relationship for a healthy positive mindset.
9. Strategy and Mind Map:
Find the best strategy to achieve your projects efficiently in order to get closer to your goals.
The first thing you need to do when you start walking on your success journey is to layout on a paper all the long-term objectives you want to achieve and the future projects you want to carry out. Hence, identify your main objective, your ultimate goal by determining the main purpose of your success.
Second, start branching out from the main goal, by identifying key elements to make your goal happen: how to do it, when to do it, where to do it, etc.
Writing your ideas on a big paper followed by the steps to get there, will help you visualize and be in much more control of your planning.
When you sketch out your ideas on paper, ask yourself the 5 essential questions that will guide you along in your journey: Why? What? When? Where? How?
We’ve covered that in the introduction part.
Don’t be afraid to change things along the way, because with experiences you’ll identify key elements that will help you become closer to your objective. Keep in mind that all is changeable, except for your ultimate goal which you need to stick to it no matter what.
Set an objective daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, long-term, etc. which means do not procrastinate: some boring work must be done to pave the way for more important matters.
Find out the best strategy (check out what your competitor has implemented) and get more work done efficiently by having a better strategy.
10. Avoid BURNOUT: To avoid Burnout Take Vacations at least each 3 weeks
According to HelpGuide article “Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It occurs when you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands. As the stress continues, you begin to lose the interest and motivation that led you to take on a certain role in the first place.”
Having better sleeping nights, eating the right food at the correct time, taking time for yourself through meditation and gratitude, etc. there are many things you can do to avoid burnout. Remember to balance between the amount of pressure you deal with and the time you need to rest.
Once you start feeling stressed all the time even if you doing all things right that is when you need to take things slowly.
11. Reward yourself after every achievement
Reward yourself with one of your cravings after achieving an objective. Rewards gives the mind a positive value of the work that must be completed in order to become closer to your long-term objectives.
Going on a vacation at least once a year for 15 days is crucial and is the least amount of time you need for yourself. You need to be able to balance between your work and the rest so you do not get to the point where you feel exhaustion.
You do not need much money to go on a vacation, you can just stay and relax home, watch Netflix or go to the parc or in the woods, etc. Changing the environment is an excellent therapy for resourcing.
Your success story should be so unique that you should be the writer of it. You need to know the beginning, the process, and the end.
You may apply all those tools to build your success, but you need to understand that building an empire takes time. You will also be needing guidance and qualified people along the way, because your success will be based on them. Being successful doesn’t mean being selfish, it’s quite the contrary, successful people set an example for their community. Therefore, never forget that your success is linked to other people
Inevitably there will be ups and downs along the way, which you cannot control. These are called life experiences. When something doesn’t go how you’ve planned for, or an unexpected force Majeure comes along the way, you need to accept that no matter how much it hurts, you need to keep on moving: by understanding where you’ve failed and how you’ve failed, you become more resilient and wiser, in order not to make the same mistake again and prevent disaster along the way. One should learn to forgive himself, and change the strategy.

Although I’m in my 30’s, I found that having a strong set of rules governed by a well-structured strategy is the basis of any successful enterprise.
Note that your mind is used to a set of habits: changing them suddenly will stress your mind because its main objective is to make you feel safe. When you want to change, you need to start slowly so your mind has the proper time to adapt. By taking one step at a time, for example by taking out 1 minute each day from your alarm and controlling yourself not to push the snooze button, sooner or later you’ll start waking up earlier than ever before. Taking things slowly and not implementing all things at once, will help you acquire more energy and boost your whole system towards success.
If you do not want to get to a point where you give up early and your habits will become worse and you’ll feel terrible about yourself, take your time to understand the function of your mind as well as your body.
